What is mobile Live Scan?
A Live Scan operator brings the fingerprint scanner and laptop to you — your home, your workplace, a school, a church, or a group event — instead of you going to a storefront. The prints and paperwork are submitted electronically to the DOJ the same way; the only difference is location.
How much does mobile Live Scan cost in California?
The DOJ's $32 and the FBI's $17 (when a federal check is included) are the same as at a storefront. The rolling fee is usually higher — often $50 to $100 — because you're paying for travel and time. For groups of 3+ people, per-person cost typically drops below what a storefront visit would total.
Who uses mobile Live Scan?

Is mobile Live Scan just as valid as storefront?
